It is our pleasure to announce that, continuing the long-standing tradition of conferences sponsored by IFMBE, the Young Investigators Competition (YIC) will be held during the NBC 2025 & PCBBE 2025.
The YIC Jury will select up to ten finalists, among whom the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be chosen. A total prize of €1000 will be distributed among the awardees, while all other finalists will receive certificates and honorable mentions.
The results of the Young Investigators Competition will be revealed during the Closing Ceremony of the conference.
Eligibility criteria for participants of the YIC:
- Age Requirement: Participants must be 35 years old or younger on June 16, 2025 (the first day of the conference).
- Authorship: Participants must be the first authors of a full paper (6+ pages), submitted to the conference under the “YIC. Young Investigators Competition” category during the submission process.
- Conference Registration: Participants must be registered as attendees of the conference.
- Paper Acceptance: The submitted paper must be accepted for presentation at the conference.
- Presentation: Participants must attend the conference and present their work:
- as an oral presentation during the YIC session, or
- as a poster presentation.
